Image from Flickr Lifehacker.com is one of my favorite tech blog site and this article which comes from lifehacker.com's sister site, consumerist.com, talks about how to research on an online retailer which you have an eye for a particular item with that low price.

One of the steps of verifying those sites: 

Check the Whois to see what the website registration looks like. It is not a good sign if it was just registered last week. It should not look like someone is trying to hide the fact that they are running a business out of their parents basement.
