Hello. Here is a little update to the users and members of Maktabduli.org: I've updated the visual positioning of the modules available on the website. As you can see, there is a calendar on the left which uses Google Calendar as its host.
I've made the calendar open for public, so for google account user you can add events on the calendar, as far for non-google account user, you can register and add event to the calendar also. By creating a google account you can also use other facilites that comes with Google such as Google mail, Google Docs, and Google Reader. So you are doing yourself a favor. I'm using Google account myself, eversince that I never used other mail or other tools other than Google applications since its really are neat and awesome! :D
There are two ways to view the calendar, first is on the left, it will always show on the homepage. Second using the menu link above: Calendar. There it will show the huge calendar for easy viewing.
I know its a bit too late to create a calendar since its nearly the end of the year, but I've been searching for a good calendar module in Joomla, I can't find that one calendar we once used back in previous version of Maktabduli.org - its no longer supported on the latest Joomla 1.5.
As far for visual, I've positened everything to the left and maybe the slide show of pictures on the frontpage would be update to something more fancy or better.
Owh, one more update. I'm trying to beefen up the security part of registration with visual captha which is basically inputting those scribbled letters and numbers into a input box for verification since lately, I've been having spams from bot trying to register and most of them uses yahoo.co.uk email.

Hello, welcome to Maktabduli.org.. I'd like to welcome new members that I've been recently notified about their registration to Maktabduli.org. I hope most of them are legit members that are interested in supporting Maktabduli.org and not some spam bot or irresponsible user who just register to get into Maktabduli.org to spam.
After a few months of hiatus, which you can see the last post was from August, well that was largely due to fasting month and Hari Raya celebration month (Ramadhan fasting month and Eid Celebration on Syawal), now the problem.. personally is that I'm heading into much phase test and assignments along the way in this month but I'll try my best to post articles on this website.
This website is still on alpha stage, recently I saw updates of modules that I want to try out to put on to this website, especially the photo slide show above. Need fixing on that one.. something is amiss with that module. The forum need some serious restructuring but, I think we should stick to topics that really matters not just empty topics that no ones interested like last time. I'm still new with phpBB3, the settings and customisation is deep so it may take a while for me to get used to. I hope Takezo/Takeshihan can easen this transition. Hehe.
Well.. I wish everyone good luck and November is about to start and this year is about to end, I hope I can do something significant in this year as well as everybody else. |

Hello again, I just want to update visitors of this website that currently Maktabduli.org is undergoing major upgrades and development. To keep you updated, I've used MD blog (which you can enter here www.maktabduli.org/wordpress or clicking directly MD Blog) to keep a web log of the current development of Maktabduli.org and updates. The update log is useful for those who want to know Maktabduli.org's development and want to help it's development by suggesting a comment or for those who want to learn how I shape Maktabduli.org to current state now. Any comments and suggestions are welcome! Also I would like to point out that.. Maktabduli.org's PhotoGallery is finally open for public registration. You can register by clicking Photo Gallery link above or by directly going here www.maktabduli.org/gallery2 You are free to upload pictures and upon registering, you are automatically given an album which you can put sub albums in it to suit your needs. |

Well, I've successfully upgraded to a new system which is Joomla! 1.5 and most of the things that are new aren't quite visible only at the back end and the part for submitting articles, it uses a new interface than the old two pane design with a single pane design.
Well, I'm slowly testing the website and adding features. As you browse the website, you'll notice that I've a new Forum system. Previously I've used SMF and now I'm using a new phpBB3 forum system. If you want to be admin or mod, you can notify me via shoutbox or via the contact us above. I need help populating the forum section.
As in for logging in for previous user account I think it should be working, if its not, do notify me. I'll think of something how to make this work.
